Lane Carlock portrays legendary humorist Erma Bombeck, who gave voice to the frustrations of a generation of women in her syndicated newspaper column. (All photos by Casey Gardner)
“At Wit’s End” was the name of Erma Bombeck’s syndicated news column about domestic life in the 1960s.
Over the course of her career, Bombeck published 15 books and served as an advisor on the passage of the 1978 Equal Rights Amendment for women. She died in 1996.
