Spalding Nix Fine Art is excited to announce SHAPESHIFT, a presentation of four shows by Atlanta Artists Peter Essick, John Dean, Jennifer McKinnon and Mary Stuart Walker.

Peter Essick’s “Work in Progress” is an ongoing series that captures Atlanta’s ever-changing landscape, using a drone to photograph construction sites and their environmental impacts. John Dean’s “Cool Clear Hydrosphere” is a photo series that describes in still life form the mystery of the most precious and powerful life force on the planet, water, the element that shapes our landscape and makes all terrestrial life possible. Jennifer Mckinnon’s “Organic Landscapes” is a tribute to the establishment of our National Parks System through digitally and physically collaged photographs and materials that draw attention to our human impact on the environment. Mary Stuart Walker’s “A Momentary Territory” documents our dynamic sky while standing on the continental divide, using cyanotypes framed in an unnatural boundary – a circle – capturing a fleeting new territory that only exists in the image.
